John And Susan Rivera became members of First Missionary Baptist in 2011.

John serves as both Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent and Susan serves as an Adult/ Children Sunday School teacher.

Together John and Susan are committed to honoring JESUS CHRIST through worship, prayer, and obedience to GOD in the power of the Holy Spirit. They also believe that pursuing relationships with the
congregation and visitors is vital with helping to keep our promises to the Living Word.

John and Susan are getting ready to celebrate 43 years of marriage and they believe it is all due to following the practices of sexual purity, spiritual, moral and ethical values that we find in GOD’s living word. They are grateful and committed to lead Sunday School by helping build strong marriages and families through love and Biblical values. They support the Mission of the church by honoring and
praying for the pastor and actively give their time and resources. They commit to reaching beyond any racial and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of Biblical unity.

At the end of the day, John and Susan are committed and dedicated to influencing the world by being obedient to the Great commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
